In 2006-2008 I had the pleasure of being a contract trainer for the Jefferson County Library Cooperative. In that capacity, I needed short handouts for the many databases available in our system. These handouts were my attempt to offer a concise introduction to each database within a maximum of two pages.

There is a plethora of information about each of the databases on the Alabama Virtual Library (AVL) and available locally through the JCLC. I found it necessary to pare down some of the information. These handouts were created by Michelle Hamrick unless otherwise stated using materials from the respective databases help sites. They may be reproduced with reckless abandon!
